The issues of monitoring and fault diagnosis drives with permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) are currently very topical due to the increasing use these in safety-critical devices. Every year, more articles on this subject published. Therefore, aim article is update overview diagnostic methods techniques for PMSM drives. Each main chapters focuses a specific element drive system (motor, power converter, measuring sensors), particular emphasis components motor (stator windings, magnets, bearings, rotor). sections divided according type used obtain symptoms damage. In addition, review using analysis control structure signals damage vector-controlled presented, as well latest achievements researchers field shallow deep neural networks detection classification failures.
